Brooke Maxwell's El Superbando is one of Vancouver Island’s best-kept musical secrets. 

Band leader Brooke Maxwell is originally from Parksville BC, has a jazz background from Berklee College of Music in Boston and an education degree from the University of Victoria.  His musical background includes a unique combination of jazz and rock which has helped to shape his eclectic musical tastes that currently run the gamut from 1930’s swing to pop!

Playing music professionally since 1998, Brooke has played at exclusive venues and with exclusive audiences who have included Wayne Gretsky, David Foster and Pamela Anderson.  In May 2006, Brooke played the HSBC Stars on Ice pre-show dinner in the Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena and also is a regular performer with International Jazzfest.

Under Brooke's direction, a wild swinging ensemble of Victoria's finest musicians, playing everything from groovy 1950's mambos to Ray Charles rock, with some classy swing thrown in for good measure awaits you at the Victoria Masquerade Ball.  It will be a nine-piece minibigband swing-sation!
